“Kamazaki”knife blade is made of 67-layer Damascus steel. The middle layer of the blade, the so-called core of the knife blade, is sharpened at a 15° angle on each side. The knife core is made of high-quality steel containing carbon, chromium, cobalt, molybdenum and vanadium, which is hardened to ~60±2 HRC hardness.

The knife core is the 67th middle layer, protected by 66 other layers of 316L stainless steel, creating not only protection for the brittle core but also a distinctive design.
