DS-2CD1143G2-LIU(2.8mm) Fixed Dome Camera Smart Hybrid Light 4 MP The Hikvision DS‑2CD1143G2‑LIU(2.8mm) camera is a fixed network IP camera from the Value series with Smart Hybrid Light technology from Hikvision, designed for indoor and outdoor monitoring. The device records images at a maximum resolution of 4 MP (2560 × 1440) with a wide field of view thanks to a fixed 2.8 mm lens and a 1/3" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor. Smart Hybrid Light combines infrared and white LED illumination, which, combined with human and vehicle detection, allows for more detailed and color images even in low light conditions. The camera supports efficient compression methods H.265+/H.265/H.264+/H.264, has a built-in microphone, and a robust housing with IP67 ingress protection and IK08 mechanical resistance, making it suitable for operation in harsher conditions. Additionally, the device supports image enhancement functions and intelligent motion analysis, facilitating effective surveillance. It allows automatic switching between different modes depending on conditions and event detection. The camera can operate in one of four modes: IR Mode – provides discreet monitoring in the dark without visible light, White Light Mode – activated to obtain color images and deter intruders, Smart Mode – automatic switching between IR and white light in response to the detection of people or vehicles, Off Mode – no auxiliary lighting. Thanks to this solution, Hikvision cameras offer more effective night monitoring, clearer images in difficult lighting conditions, and greater operational flexibility. 120 dB WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) technology allows cameras to better handle challenging lighting conditions, such as when a scene contains very bright and very dark areas simultaneously. By using a wide dynamic range of 120 dB, the camera can capture more details in both shadows and bright areas of the image, resulting in clearer and more balanced recordings – especially at building entrances, in tunnels, or with strong backlight. In Hikvision cameras, BLC (Backlight Compensation) and HLC (Highlight Compensation) are two different image enhancement functions for difficult lighting conditions. BLC compensates for light when the main object is dark and the background behind it is very bright – for example, when a person stands at a building entrance against the sun. The camera then increases the brightness of the entire scene so that the foreground object is clearly visible, although this may cause the background to be overexposed. HLC works in reverse – it reduces the impact of very bright light sources in the image, such as car headlights, streetlights, or LED light directed at the lens. The camera automatically dims overexposed areas to reveal details around them, which is particularly useful for night monitoring and license plate recognition. An intelligent algorithm independently developed by Hikvision that can significantly reduce video bitrate based on the standard H.265 codec. With H.265+, video quality is almost comparable to H.265/HEVC, but it reduces the required transmission bandwidth and storage capacity through three key technologies – predictive coding, noise suppression, and flexible bitrate control. The surveillance camera is equipped with an integrated microphone, which allows for audio recording without the need to connect additional devices. This component is located within the device's housing. It enables the collection of acoustic signals from the environment, enriching the video material with audio context. This type of solution is useful in various situations, such as analyzing conversations, recording sounds near a protected area, or documenting incidents with an additional layer of information. IK08 impact resistance class means that the Hikvision camera dome is resistant to impacts with an energy of up to 5 joules, which corresponds to the fall of a 1.7 kg object from a height of 30 cm. This resistance makes the camera suitable for installation in places exposed to mechanical damage, such as stairwells, parking lots, schools, or public buildings. The dome protects the lens and the interior of the camera from damage, increasing the durability and reliability of the equipment. Although IK08 does not provide full protection against intentional vandalism (like IK10), it offers a very good compromise between durability and device cost. IP67 rating means the device is completely dust-tight and resistant to water immersion under normal usage conditions. Thanks to water and dust resistance (IP67), cameras can operate reliably even in harsh outdoor conditions, providing continuous protection and surveillance, regardless of weather or environment.
