    Apraksts

“MultiPlus”, as the name suggests, is a combination of inverter and charger in one elegant housing. Its range of functions includes a pure sine wave inverter, adaptive charging, PowerAssist technology and other functions designed for integration into various types of systems. One AC input MultiPlus has one AC input for connection to a distribution grid or, for example, a generator. If two AC inputs are needed, we choose the Quattro device. Two AC outputs MultiPlus has two AC outputs. The main output AC1 ensures uninterrupted power supply. For example, when operating in UPS mode, MultiPlus takes over the power source for connected devices (in less than 20 milliseconds) in the event of a grid or generator failure. The second output operates only when an AC input (grid / generator) is available. Therefore, a load that would quickly discharge the batteries, such as a water heater, can be connected to this output, and it will be powered only from the AC source (the second output is available in models with a power of 3 kVA and higher). Four-stage charging with adaptive charger and two battery charging outputs The main output ensures powerful battery charging through the “adaptive charging” system. The software controls a three-stage automatic charging process based on the battery condition and adds a fourth charging stage – float charging. In addition, MultiPlus can charge a second battery using an independent charging output intended for, e.g., generator starting batteries. MultiPlus is designed to charge all types of lead, alkaline and lithium batteries. Practically unlimited power due to parallel operation Up to 6 MultiPlus devices can operate in parallel to achieve higher power. Three-phase operation Three devices of the same type can be configured for three-phase operation. But that is not all: up to 6 sets of three devices can be connected in parallel to obtain up to 75 kW / 90 kVA inverter power and 2000 A charging power. Unique PowerAssist MultiPlus features protect against overload of a power-limited AC source, such as a current-limited utility connection. If the input AC power source is overloaded, first the battery charging current is automatically reduced. Second, the output AC is boosted by current drawn from the battery. Solar AC power can be available even after a power outage. MultiPlus can be used both in stand-alone (island) systems and in photovoltaic systems connected to a distribution grid. MultiPlus does not have an input for PV arrays, but is designed to work with MPPT controllers (DC-coupled systems) or grid-connected inverters (AC-coupled systems). System configuration In the case of separate installations, e.g., UPS, settings can be easily made in a few minutes using DIP switches. Parallel and three-phase programs can be configured using the VE.Bus Quick Configure software and the VE.Bus System Configurator software. Stand-alone and hybrid PV installations for self-consumption, including grid-connected inverters or MPPT solar chargers, can be configured using the assistant (specialized software for specific needs). The configuration software can be downloaded free of charge from this link (VE.Configure 3): https://www.victronenergy.com/support-and-downloads/software For the above software, you will need the MK3-USB computer communication interface. Remote system monitoring and configuration. Monitor and control your system on site (LAN) or remotely via the internet from anywhere in the world using the free VRM app and the free VRM portal. https://vrm.victronenergy.com/landingpage. Access can be from a phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer for various operating systems. The control level is unlimited – using one of the control panels listed below, you can monitor and configure the system from anywhere in the world. MultiPlus offers many operating options and we can offer solutions to meet various user requirements. Here are the most common operating modes: Hybrid mode. ESS – energy storage system. This mode is intended only for photovoltaic installations with an available distribution grid (DS), where maximum use of generated solar energy together with the normal DS is required and there is the possibility of storing surplus energy in batteries. A detailed ESS system guide can be found at this link: https://www.victronenergy.com/live/ess:design-installation-manual Examples of ESS system configurations: 1. Classic grid-connected power plant with energy storage When the meter registers supply to the distribution grid (hereinafter – DS), the ESS system begins to store surplus energy in the battery. When the grid meter registers energy purchase from the distribution grid, the ESS system supplies energy from the battery to the load. In the event of a DS failure, the photovoltaic system does not operate, and critical devices (in the diagram “Critical Loads”) are powered from the AC output of the MultiPlus / Quattro device – this ensures that only priority devices discharge the batteries, while non-priority ones are disconnected. 2. The energy of photovoltaic panels is processed by an MPPT solar controller. This solution is particularly suitable for smaller installations and has the advantage of higher efficiency – DC energy from the photovoltaic panel is stored directly in the DC battery. Compared with the previous example, higher efficiency is achieved because there is no need to process DC into AC using a grid inverter and then convert it again from AC to DC for storage in the battery – this causes 20–30% losses. In the event of a DS failure (power outage), again only the most important devices are powered, but the PV system remains fully functional and operates in fully island / stand-alone mode. 3. Variant without a grid meter. Again, it can be combined with a grid inverter and an MPPT solar controller. 4. This can also be... The ESS system operates and allows all three PV sources to be combined at the same time. Island – OFF-GRID mode for locations not connected to a distribution grid: MultiPlus / Quattro is connected to the battery and supplies power to devices via the AC1 output. A generator can be connected to the AC input, which can be started automatically based on the inverter request or manually. When the generator is started, the device supplies power to AC outputs 1 and 2 and simultaneously charges the batteries together with the solar panels. When the generator is switched off, power is again supplied from the battery / solar panels. The device has two load outputs – the first output operates always, the second only when the generator is running. Mode for mobile devices – camper vans, military vehicles, ambulances. The MultiPlus device takes care of a comprehensive power supply solution in the vehicle. When connected to a utility connection, e.g., in a garage, the MultiPlus device draws power to supply devices and at the same time charges the battery. When disconnected from the connection, power is supplied from the battery. UPS mode. A very popular main UPS mode. In the event of a power outage, MultiPlus immediately starts supplying backup loads from the battery. When power is restored, it switches back to the grid and automatically fully charges the battery so that the system is ready for operation.
