This device features a unique smoke chamber that is dust-proof and insect-proof. The dual-spectrum optical sensor, combined with the proprietary HazeFlow 2 algorithm, ensures fast and accurate fire detection while protecting against false alarms.

The smoke chamber is designed to be completely protected from contamination that could affect detection. Unique air circulation mechanics provide the optical sensor with a clear field of view to quickly recognize combustion products in the air.

Detects only real dangers

Based on extensive research into burning materials, the HazeFlow 2 algorithm analyzes and compares data from the dual-spectrum optical sensor with established smoke detection patterns. When the algorithm detects true fire dynamics, the detector immediately triggers an alarm.

FireProtect 2 is equipped with two A1R class thermistors that detect fire hazards even in the absence of smoke. These sensors respond quickly to sudden temperature increases, such as during the combustion of synthetic materials or the onset of a smoldering fire. The thermistors are located externally, ensuring extremely fast hazard detection.

FireProtect 2 complies with stringent residential fire safety standards and boasts a long battery life while ensuring continuous data exchange with the hub and a real-time analysis system. The detector operates on two CR123A batteries with a lifespan of 5 years. The batteries are replaceable, so when they run out of power, the installer can easily replace them, and FireProtect 2 continues to operate as usual.

The detector warns of a low battery at least 30 days before it completely discharges. Installers and users receive notifications from the Ajax apps. Additionally, FireProtect 2 has LED indicators and an audible signal to warn of a low battery.

Ajax fire detectors are part of the Ajax ecosystem and can interact with automation devices and MotionCam series PhOD detectors according to scenarios. In case of a fire alarm, the WallSwitch relay turns off the house, and the Relay turns on emergency lights. Simultaneously, MotionCam (PhOD) sends photos to Ajax apps to determine the cause of the alarm. The result is a reliable combination of security and automation that works like clockwork.
