Shelly Presence Gen4 is a motion sensor that uses mmWave radar to detect real human presence even when they are completely still. The device can track up to 6 people simultaneously, supports up to 10 configurable detection zones and monitors an area of up to 42 m², ensuring exceptionally precise home automation. Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, Zigbee 3.0, Bluetooth 5 LE and Matter certifications allow easy integration with modern smart home systems, while the compact design (64 × 41 × 26 mm without base) allows discreet mounting of the sensor in almost any room.

Detect real presence, not just motion

Traditional motion sensors often fail to detect the user when they are sitting at a desk, reading a book or watching TV. Shelly Presence Gen4 solves this problem by using a 60–64 GHz radar that detects even the presence of a completely still person. As a result, lighting, air conditioning and other automatic systems remain active as long as someone is in the room, thus ensuring greater comfort and avoiding unnecessary shutdown of devices.

Smart automation for multiple zones and users

The device can simultaneously identify and track up to 6 people, which allows creating significantly more advanced automation scenarios. Support for up to 10 independent detection zones allows assigning different actions to specific room zones. In large living rooms, offices or open spaces, lighting can be turned on only where users are currently present, which increases convenience and helps reduce unnecessary energy consumption. In addition, the device shows detected people on a room map, so you can monitor their location in real time and more easily configure zones and automation tailored to the interior layout.

Fewer false detections and higher operating accuracy

The Shelly Presence Gen4 sensor allows adjusting detection sensitivity and transmission power so you can tailor its operation to a specific room. It offers floor-level motion filtering and the ability to ignore small objects such as pets or cleaning robots. This prevents accidental activation of automatic systems and ensures that the system responds primarily to human presence.

Built-in light sensor

In addition to presence detection, the device also monitors the ambient light level and recognizes three states: dark, dim and bright. Therefore, automation can take into account not only user presence but also current lighting conditions. This allows creating more natural scenes, for example turning on soft lighting at dusk or full brightness after dark.

Easy integration with smart home systems

“Shelly Presence Gen4” supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5 LE, Zigbee 3.0 and Matter over Wi-Fi, so it is easy to integrate into your chosen smart home ecosystem. It works with Shelly Cloud, Home Assistant and other popular automation platforms. It also supports Amazon Alexa, Google Smart Home and Samsung SmartThings, and the built-in web interface allows you to configure, monitor and change device settings directly from a web browser – no additional apps are needed. When integrated with Matter-compatible systems, one room zone can be used by default. However, the sensor supports up to 10 zones, and each additionally added zone is presented in the Matter system as a separate component, so you can create more complex automations.

Discreet installation suitable for any interior

Thanks to the compact body of just 64 × 41 × 26 mm (without base), the sensor blends easily into the interior of any room. Thanks to the stable base, it can be placed on a shelf, table or cabinet, or mounted on the wall using double-sided adhesive tape or the included screws. The device also supports 180° inverted mounting, so its operation can be better adapted to the room layout. The recommended installation height is 2 m, and the maximum room height is 5 m.
