Passive infrared sensor designed for ceiling mounting.
The detector is designed for automatic control of building lighting (or other electrical devices) when motion is detected near its installation location.
The heart of the device is a passive IR sensor with a motion detection angle of approximately 360 degrees.
Motion is detected based on the principle of measuring the temperature change in the visibility sector around the detector caused by a person present there.
When motion is detected by the PIR sensor, the lighting automatically turns on (or another electrical device controlled by the sensor) and stays on as long as the motion sensor detects presence (movement) in its field of view.
If no further presence is detected within the set (user-defined) time, the lighting (or other electrical device) will automatically turn off.
The detector is additionally equipped with a special photo-optical sensor which, as an option, allows energy savings by not turning on the lighting, e.g., during the day.
