    Apraksts

Levenhuk New Skyline PRO MAK 102/1300 SQ2 is designed based on the Maksutov-Cassegrain design. This design is valued for its compact, travel-friendly size, sealed optics, and complete absence of chromatic aberration. Maksutov-Cassegrain telescopes rarely require collimation due to the sealed tube and firmly fixed optical components — however, if needed, adjustment screws allow fine-tuning of mirror alignment in the rare case when it shifts after many years of use or rough transport.

    What can the telescope see?

The kit includes three SUPER eyepieces with different focal lengths: 25mm, 20mm, and 10mm. They provide 52x, 65x, and 130x magnifications. What you see and how much detail you see depends on the chosen magnification.

Using the 25mm eyepiece, the entire Moon is visible at once. It looks like a map from an astronomy atlas. The wide field of view also allows you to find the Pleiades star cluster. The bright blue stars against the black background impress even experienced observers. The Orion Nebula looks like a gray cloud with four small stars in the center: the famous Trapezium group.

Using the 20mm eyepiece, you can find Jupiter's disk and its four main moons (Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto). The Moon gets even closer, revealing craters and mountain ranges in more detail.

But the real magic begins with the 10mm eyepiece. On the Moon, you see seas, craters within craters, and shadow details along the terminator. On Jupiter's disk, the main cloud belts and the Great Red Spot appear. Saturn shows its rings and the moon Titan floating nearby. The ball-shaped M13 cluster in Hercules looks like a bright fuzzy ball, and double stars such as Albireo, Mizar, and Alcor split into separate stars.

    Manual mount and accessories

The optical tube is mounted on the SQ2 equatorial mount with manual control. It has slow-motion knobs that allow convenient aiming even by touch. The main advantage of the mount is compensating for Earth's daily rotation. You don't need to worry about the object drifting out of the field of view. Just turn one knob and it returns.

The box also includes a red dot finder. With it, the night sky turns into a precise catalog. You can see each of them through the eyepiece in less than a minute. A sturdy steel tripod with an accessory tray is the foundation. It holds the optical tube steadily and the image remains stable.

    Key features:

    • Study the Moon in detail: craters, mountains, basaltic seas, rilles, and details along the light-shadow boundary
    • Observe thousands of nearby and deep-sky objects: planets, moons, comets, nebulae, galaxies, and star clusters
    • Use the accessory tray to keep eyepieces, Barlow lens, filters, and small tools within reach
    • A ready set for observing the same evening — no need to buy additional accessories
    • The optical design provides a clear and high-contrast image. Bright objects stand out against the black sky without color halos.
    • The sealed Maksutov-Cassegrain design rarely requires collimation; adjustment screws are provided for the rare case when it is needed.
