The Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 10" Dobsonian telescope features a non-monolithic optical tube design, making it an ideal and portable telescope for astronomy trips to dark sky locations. With a 254 mm aperture and 1270 mm focal length, it achieves an excellent balance between effective exploration of Solar System objects and more distant phenomena such as galaxies, nebulae, star clusters, and some double or multiple star systems. This telescope model reveals many amazing details of the cosmic world. This includes lunar craters and maria as small as 1.5-2 km, Jupiter's Great Red Spot and white ovals, Cassini divisions, and other features of Saturn's rings, Saturn's moon Titan, and polar ice caps on Mars during oppositions. It demonstrates structures in the brightest nebulae and galaxies, and resolves individual stars in open and globular clusters.

The Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 10" is a large and powerful telescope. However, despite its size and outstanding optical performance, it remains easy to use for any user. The optical tube is mounted on a stable, portable Dobsonian-style base, with a simple, intuitive alt-azimuth design for direct manual control. The dual-speed 2" Crayford focuser mechanism, along with a 1.25" adapter, ensures universal eyepiece compatibility and precise focusing control. The instrument's practical maximum magnification is 500x. The included 10 mm and 25 mm Plössl eyepieces (1.25") provide magnifications of 127x and 51x respectively.

The telescope's reliable performance is based on its high-quality internal optical elements, which are made of BK-7 glass - a material trusted in professional optical instruments. The parabolic mirror system for the primary mirror is designed to concentrate all incoming light into a single point, eliminating spherical aberration. The mirrors are coated with a high-quality aluminum layer, providing 92–95% reflectivity.

The optical tube is not monolithic; it is made with an open truss construction. Its main advantage compared to classic monolithic tubes is easy transportation and storage. When disassembled, it consists of a set of sturdy rods that take up very little space. When assembled, it is no less reliable than a solid one. A protective fabric cover is provided to protect the mirrors from dust when using the telescope.

In addition to eyepieces and a protective cover, the Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 10" package also includes an 8x40 optical finder scope and a primary mirror cooling fan. The cooler can be powered by 8 AA batteries (not included at the time of sale).
