Panasonic presents the LUMIX DC-S5IIX system camera with a 50mm F1.8 lens and hybrid phase detection AF system, enhanced active I.S., and a newly developed 24-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor. The innovative addition to the LUMIX S series, the sleek matte black LUMIX DC-S5IIX delivers incredible performance for both video and photography. This camera is also exceptionally mobile and easy to carry. It was designed to meet the needs of the most ambitious customers. This model features a 24-megapixel, 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor and Venus image processor. The sensor supports hybrid phase, boasts autofocus detection capability, and the new processor ensures excellent image quality and high video frame rates. This camera is compatible with the entire existing lineup of 14 LUMIX S lenses and additional full-frame L-Mount lenses manufactured by Panasonic's L-Mount partners.
NEW LUMIX AF PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
ABUNDANT VIDEO FEATURES AND RECORDING OPTIONS
The new processor provides the LUMIX DC-S5IIX camera with exceptionally broad video recording capabilities. Internal recording is possible in 4:2:0 10-bit 6K (3:2) and 5.9K (16:9) at 30 frames per second, and 4:2:2 C4K and 4K up to 60 frames per second, while a new low-profile thermal management system allows for unlimited recording time. These cameras also support HFR (high frame rate) recording up to 120 frames per second. Various video profiles are available, including 14+ stop V-Log/V-Gamut, and there is also a REAL TIME LUT function.
PROFESSIONAL PHOTO AND VIDEO CAPTURE
Thanks to numerous new and enhanced features, the LUMIX DC-S5IIX can deliver stunning photo and video quality and performance, including extremely fast continuous shooting up to 9 frames per second with a mechanical shutter and 30 frames per second with an electronic shutter (able to capture up to 300 images), 96-megapixel High-Resolution mode (JPEG/RAW), and dual native ISO sensitivity, which reduces noise and allows reaching a maximum of 51,200. The LUMIX S5IIX and S5II also boast an improved image stabilization system that can significantly enhance handheld shooting in various conditions. The new Active I.S. ensures very stable video recording and optimizes horizontal, vertical, and rotational corrections.
ENVIRONMENTALLY RESISTANT LENS
The Lumix S 50mm F1.8 lens is sleek, compact, dust, moisture, and freeze-resistant, usable even at -10°C temperatures. The 50mm focal length is excellent for photographing landscapes, portraits, and capturing facial expressions. Special low dispersion elements and ultra-high refractive index elements reduce chromatic aberration and color fringing to increase clarity and color accuracy, and the lens also provides excellent bokeh. A linear autofocus motor ensures precise and nearly silent focusing, smooth aperture setting changes.
