Using the full-size HDMI port, you can record raw video when paired with a compatible external recording device. Both ProRes RAW and Blackmagic RAW recording is possible, as well as the ability to work with F-Log or F-Log 2 profiles, and any format supports working at up to 6.2K open gate resolution. Due to improved processing, autofocus is noticeably faster and smarter. This hybrid focusing system uses 425 phase detection points and is now sensitive down to -7 EV to operate in truly poor lighting conditions. Additionally, based on deep learning, the AI adaptive algorithm means that this focusing system is better at automatically detecting and tracking various types of objects. Compared to previous focusing systems, the X-H2S's face and eye detection functions have been improved for greater accuracy and to account for unique features such as glasses, face coverings, and hair lines. Furthermore, the spectrum of recognized subjects has been expanded to include cars, airplanes, trains, motorcyclists, birds, horses, dogs, cats, etc.

 

 

 

 

Integrated 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilization helps reduce camera shake by up to 7 stops. This system works with most X-series lenses, including unstabilized ones, and is useful when working with slower shutter speeds and shooting in challenging lighting conditions. Additionally, digital image stabilization can also be used when recording video to make it easier to stabilize footage, especially when shooting handheld.

 

The large OLED electronic viewfinder has a clear 5.76 million dot resolution and 0.8x magnification for a sharp, clear, and detailed image at eye level. The rear 3.0-inch LCD screen has a high 1.62 million dot resolution and a touchscreen interface for intuitive control. Furthermore, its vari-angle design means the screen can be flipped to the side, tilted up or down, and closed so that it lies flush against the camera, thereby protecting it.

 

The 1.28-inch monochrome LCD screen on the top plate is a simple tool for quickly reviewing shooting settings. Two memory card slots include one CFexpress Type B slot and one SD UHS-II slot for flexible file storage. The CFexpress Type B slot should be prioritized for recording higher bitrate video and fast continuous shooting, while the SD slot is a convenient alternative for backups or less speed-critical shooting. The NP-W235 battery yields approximately 720 shots per charge when working in EVF economy mode, or about 580 shots in normal mode.

 

 

 

 

This camera features a wealth of ports, making it even more convenient to use. Full-size HDMI Type A port for outputting video to an external recording device or monitor. USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port supports tethering, data transfer, and camera battery charging. 3.5mm headphone and external microphone ports allow for better audio recording control. PC sync port for flash synchronization. 2.5mm remote port for use with wired remote controllers. Built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity enables wireless image sharing to a mobile device or using a device to remotely control the camera.

 

Film Simulation modes allow you to recreate the look and feel of several FUJIFILM film types, including Provia, Velvia, Astia, Classic Chrome, Classic Neg., Nostalgic Neg., Pro Neg. Hi, Pro Neg. Std, Eterna, Eterna Bleach Bypass, Acros, Monochrome, and Sepia. Additionally, grain effect and color chrome effect can be adjusted to precisely fine-tune the appearance of images.
