The UX II UV filter with water-repellent coating is an updated design of the HMC UV(C) filter, now integrated into the new standard class UX II series along with the UX II CIR-PL filter. The UX II UV filter is a product with a completely new concept design, aimed at entry-level users, ensuring high quality standards with basic and modern features.

The "UX" in the series name stands for "User eXperience", referring to the entire experience users will gain from using these filters and everything associated with it. By naming this series UX, we aim to offer users a better individual experience in all photography-related activities.

Although UV rays are invisible to the naked eye, they can affect the image when photographing in locations such as seaside or mountainous environments, causing outlines to be blurred or images to appear faded and whitish.

UV filters can suppress the UV spectrum present in daylight, which mostly negatively affects images. This filter can be used with both film and digital cameras and ensures brighter images. Furthermore, by keeping it attached at all times, this filter serves as daily lens protection.

The anti-reflective coating prevents unwanted reflections and increases light transmission.
A water-repellent coating has been added to the anti-reflective coating. This coating repels water droplets and makes it easier to clean dirt or fingerprints from the filter surface.
The slim frame ensures no vignetting even when using wide-angle lenses.
