HOYA engineers have created a new ANTISTATIC coating that acts as a force field around the filter and repels dust. It is ideal in dusty environments; these filters need to be cleaned and maintained less often than traditional filters. Additionally, the hardened antistatic top layer is water and stain-resistant and easily wipes clean when stains or fingerprints appear on the surface.

The new professional FUSION ANTISTATIC NEXT filters are manufactured in Japan using hand-selected silicates that are carefully melted and blended to produce high-quality optical glass. HOYA meticulously and precisely applies the improved 18-layer Super Multi-Coating formula (on both sides), which greatly reduces or eliminates reflections on the glass surface and ensures extremely clear, high transmission. This means the filter has virtually no effect on the final image's color balance, contrast, or clarity.

The filters feature a lightweight, one-piece, low-profile aluminum frame to hold the glass. This one-piece design allows the filter to maintain perfect parallel alignment with the sensor plane for maximum sharpness, and the low-profile shape eliminates vignetting when used with ultra-wide-angle lenses.
