The MGB family consists of SFP (Small Form Factor Pluggable) transceiver modules that are specifically designed for high-performance integrated bidirectional data communication over single-mode optical fiber. These transceiver modules are compatible with the SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and are hot-pluggable. These modules can be easily installed into SFP MSA-compatible ports at any time without interrupting the main equipment operation. The SFP Mini-GBIC Gigabit Ethernet module MGB family can be installed in PLANET Switch products with SFP mini-GBIC interface. Deployment distance can be extended from 100 meters (TP), 550 meters (Multi-mode, LC) up to 120 kilometers (single-mode, LC). To meet the increasing demand for industrial Ethernet fiber solutions, Planet releases the MGB-T series 1000BASE-SX/LX/BX transceivers, which can reliably operate in harsh electrical, complex climate conditions and wide temperature range (-40–75°C) environments. The MGB-T series 1000BASE-SX/LX/BX transceivers ensure easy and fast 1000BASE-SX/LX/BX connection for Planet's temperature industrial equipment.
