Heavy-duty ALANTEC fiber optic cables are designed for direct installation in the ground in locations not exposed to direct mechanical damage. Thanks to strength elements – a fiberglass sheath and two FRP rods embedded in the outer sheath – the cable is highly resistant to crushing. Single-mode 9/125 μm G.652D OS2 fibers are used, characterized by high transmission parameters and low dispersion. They are intended for signal transmission over long distances in large telecommunications networks, backbone networks, cable television (CATV), access networks, university networks, WAN, FTTx, etc. The cable core is a loose tube containing optical fibers. The inside of the central tube is filled with hydrophobic gel that acts as a moisture barrier. The entire center is surrounded and protected by fiberglass, forming a safe barrier against rodents. The orange PE outer sheath is resistant to UV radiation, acids, alcohol, gasoline and salt solutions. Length is printed every 1 meter.
