High-strength ALANTEC fiber optic cables are intended for outdoor installations in cable ducts or directly in the ground, in locations not exposed to direct mechanical damage. Due to their strength elements – the aramid fiber sheath and central reinforcement core – they are suitable for hanging on utility poles with a fastening span of up to 60 meters. The single-mode 9/125 μm OS2 fibers used feature high transmission parameters and low dispersion. They are intended for signal transmission over long distances in large telecommunications networks, backbone networks, cable television networks, access networks, university networks, WAN networks, FTTx networks, etc. The cable core is a central strength element in the form of a plastic core, surrounded by loose tubes containing optical fiber. The tubes are filled with hydrophobic gel or fiber that acts as a moisture barrier. The entire center is surrounded and protected by plastic and aramid fiber, ensuring safe protection against rodents. The green tube is directional. The outer PE sheath remains UV resistant. Length is printed every 1 meter.
