Due to server space limitations and increasing maintenance costs, network administrators are increasingly looking for solutions that reduce costs and space requirements. ATEN LCD KVM switches offer a space-saving, unified approach to KVM switch technology by integrating an LCD screen, a full keyboard, and a touchpad into a 1U rack-mountable slideaway housing. The CL1308N LCD KVM switch has a built-in 19-inch LED-backlit LCD screen that allows access to and control of up to eight computers from a single console (keyboard, mouse, and monitor). Up to eight switches can be daisy-chained, for a total of up to 128 computers controlled from a single console consisting of a keyboard, monitor, and mouse. Setup is fast and easy – simply connect the cables to the corresponding ports and that's it. The switch supports USB and PS/2 computer ports. The CL1308 switch receives commands directly from the keyboard, so no software configuration is required. Computers can be switched manually by pressing a button on the front panel with LEDs, by entering key combinations on the keyboard, or by using the multilingual on-screen display menu.
