Efficiency certification
The least efficient are products with "80 Plus" certification, followed by "80 Plus Bronze", "80 Plus Silver", "80 Plus Gold", "80 Plus Platinum" and "80 Plus Titanium".
Efficiency in percent indicates how much of the consumed electrical energy is converted into useful power. The remainder is simply converted into excess heat and dissipated into the environment. The higher the percentage, the greater the efficiency.
For example, an "80 PLUS Gold" certified 600W power supply consumes 660-682 W, of which 60-82 W is used to heat the PSU.
