The GMKTEC M5S combines compact size with capabilities perfectly suited for both everyday office work and more demanding multimedia applications. The AMD Ryzen 3 5400U processor together with integrated Radeon Graphics graphics ensures smooth operation of applications, visual content and entertainment, while expandable RAM and two M.2 drive slots provide plenty of room for future upgrades. A wide selection of ports, two 2.5 Gb/s LAN ports, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 allow you to easily set up a convenient workplace with multiple devices and a fast network. Additionally, triple monitor support, an advanced cooling system and a VESA mount are offered, allowing the computer to be hidden behind the screen and freeing up more desk space. This model has 16 GB of RAM and a 256 GB drive.

Ryzen 3 5400U – power in a compact chassis

At the center of the GMKTEC M5S is the AMD Ryzen 3 5400U processor with 4 cores and 8 threads, allowing the computer to efficiently handle multitasking and run multiple programs simultaneously. The chip is manufactured using the TSMC 7 nm FinFET process, uses the FP6 package, has 8 MB L3 cache and reaches a boosted clock frequency of up to 4.0 GHz. Its multi-core performance can be assessed, among other things, using the Geekbench 6 Multi-Core test. Graphics are handled by an integrated AMD Radeon Graphics chip with 6 graphics cores and a GPU clock frequency of up to 1600 MHz, designed for smooth everyday use, multimedia and entertainment while maintaining high efficiency.

Expansion possibilities that give freedom

The computer has two SO-DIMM slots for DDR4 3200 MT/s memory, operating in Dual Channel mode. The platform supports DDR4 modules with speeds up to 3200 MT/s, and maximum memory capacity can reach up to 64 GB using a 2 × 32 GB configuration. Storage possibilities are no less impressive – inside there are two M.2 2280 SSD slots, allowing total storage capacity to be increased up to 16 TB. The slot located closer to the DDR memory supports SATA and PCIe 3.0 x4 drives, while the outer slot is intended for PCIe 3.0 x4 drives. This design allows the configuration to be adapted both for basic tasks and for work with large files, creative projects or large data archives.

Dual 2.5 Gb/s Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6E

Fast file transfer, local network operations and a stable internet connection are ensured by two RJ45 LAN ports, each with throughput of up to 2.5 Gb/s. They are controlled by the high-performance Realtek RTL8125 controller, and the dual wired ports expand the computer's capabilities in the office, a large home network or an environment requiring low latency. The GMKTEC M5S also supports Wi-Fi 6E with access to the 6 GHz band and wireless transfer speeds of up to 2.4 Gb/s. This technology reduces interference and promotes a more stable connection, offering – according to the manufacturer – up to twice the speed of Wi-Fi 6 and 5.5 times that of Wi-Fi 5. Wireless connectivity is complemented by Bluetooth 5.2, allowing convenient connection of compatible accessories and external devices.

Abundant port set and three screens

A compact chassis does not mean compromises on available ports. It includes two USB 3.2 ports with transfer speeds of up to 10 Gb/s, two USB 2.0 ports up to 480 Mb/s, a 3.5 mm combo audio jack, a USB-C port supporting PD power delivery, DisplayPort video output and data transfer, as well as full-size DisplayPort, HDMI 2.0, two 2.5 Gb/s LAN ports and a 19 V / 3.42 A DC power input. HDMI 2.0 supports video output up to 4K resolution at 60 Hz, while DisplayPort supports up to 8K at 60 Hz. It also allows simultaneous connection of a three-monitor setup via HDMI, DisplayPort and USB-C, facilitating work with multiple windows, spreadsheets, creative tools and multimedia content. The chassis also has a power button, a reset hole and a Kensington Lock slot, ensuring additional computer security.

Cool and quiet even under load

The advanced cooling system with two air intakes surrounding the chassis ensures optimal temperature. The design ensures 360° airflow, supporting effective heat dissipation even during more intensive use. Smart fan control dynamically adapts fan operation to the current load, allowing the computer to maintain an optimal balance between temperature and noise level. This solution promotes comfortable long-term use, regardless of whether the M5S is performing office tasks, large data transfers or more demanding projects.

More space on your desk

The compact GMKTEC M5S design allows the computer to be easily integrated even in a small workspace. The included VESA mount allows the mini computer to be attached to the back of a compatible monitor so that the device does not take up valuable desk space and cables are easier to manage. The combination of the Ryzen 3 5400U processor, RAM expandable up to 64 GB, storage capacity up to 16 TB, fast wired and wireless network and multi-screen support makes the M5S a flexible foundation for both an office workplace and a home work and multimedia center.
