• CB Coated Back layer – "recreating the original" is self-copying paper, i.e. the top sheet of the set, whose lower surface is coated with microcapsule coating.

• CFB Coated Front and Back layer – "take – give", i.e. the middle layer of the set. It is self-copying paper made by coating the lower layer with microcapsule coating and the upper layer with a special emulsion, the so-called developer. The copying effect can be achieved using mechanical pressure – a pen, a dot matrix printer head, a typewriter. Under pressure, the "ink" is released from the microcapsules and penetrates the absorbent layer of the other CFB or CF self-copying paper. The result is a clearly visible print that leaves a permanent mark on the paper
