Work together to save humanity in the best-selling cooperative board game of 2008! The world is threatened by four diseases, and your elite team of specialists must find a cure for each before it's too late. Travel the world, treat local populations, and collect sets of city cards to complete your research. Be sure to limit the spread – if there are too many outbreaks, you will lose the game. As you cure each disease, it becomes easier to improve them and remove them from the board. When you cure all four diseases, your team wins the game! Each player can use their role's special abilities. Leverage your strengths to support your team's strategy as you search for cures. All players start at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta. Build research stations in other parts of the world so you can travel and discover treatments more efficiently! Use event cards to gain special one-time effects to help your team advance. And when you're ready for a new challenge, adjust the game difficulty by adding more epidemic cards to the deck.
