Napoleon Bonaparte is one of the most interesting figures in European history – a brilliant strategist, reformer, and founder of the modern army. His military campaigns not only teach tactics but also tell of ambition, determination, and dramatic twists of fate.

Napoleon's Firepower

Artillery was Napoleon Bonaparte's focus, and for good reason, as he himself began his military career as an artillery officer. He believed that artillery wins battles, and his approach changed the use of weapons on the battlefield. French artillery used equipment based on the Gribeauval system, developed in the 1780s. These were 4, 8, and 12-pounder guns, as well as 6-inch howitzers.

12-pounder guns, like those in the COBI set, were the backbone of the main battlefield firepower. Supported by trained gunners, these guns could determine the course of a battle even before infantry clashes.

What will you find in the set?
