The birth of the world's most mysterious bomber
The Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit is an American stealth flying strategic bomber capable of carrying conventional and nuclear weapons. It was developed in response to the advancement of Soviet radar systems; the program began in 1981, and it made its first flight in 1989.

More than 130 aircraft were planned to be produced, but after the end of the Cold War only 21 were built. Due to enormous costs, a single B-2 cost more than 2 billion dollars, making it the most expensive aircraft in history.

Due to stealth technology and global range allowing very long combat missions, the B-2 has participated in operations since 1999, including Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq, and in June 2025 the B-2 took part in bombing targets in Iran, remaining to this day a key element of U.S. strategic deterrence.

Although the B-2 has been in use since the 1990s, pixels in the sky still cause problems for the enemies of democracy!
