SSD

As soon as the computer era began in the world and the need arose to store data indefinitely, for several decades it was recorded on mechanical hard drives. These drives functioned like those with moving parts. For example, a read/write head moving at high speed and, unfortunately, often failing computer part due to this. After some time, a much more modern and convenient solution was invented. The SSD (Solid-State-Drive) uses a special chip for data recording, so there are no moving parts at all. SSD drives began to be used in the fifth and sixth decades, but at that time few could afford this level of technology, as it cost thousands. With the development of modern technologies in the 1990s, SSD drives began to be integrated into desktop computers used at home. However, at that time they were not yet so reliable and worked for only about 10 years or even less. Various technology companies searched for solutions to this problem for a long time, but it was only possible to eliminate it at the beginning of the 21st century. Today, SSD drives are extremely reliable and are not limited by any time frame.
